The Company Director – Nick Taylor, holds the DipSW and DipHE.

He has over twenty years experience of working with young people within residential settings. He managed a specialist resource within the voluntary sector before managing a crisis intervention unit within a large local authority. He then became Director of a private provider of residential care in the South East.

During 2005, he established Focus Residential Childcare Services to provide high quality residential care to young people.

Trish Palmer is the home’s Registered Manager at our Legrave home.

Registered with the General Social Care Council, Trish holds the DipSW, DipHe and the NVQ5 in Management. She also holds D32/D33 NVQ Assessors Award.

She has previously held the post of Head of Care Practice, before becoming Registered Manager of a local authority crisis intervention home.

She has developed and managed a team of rapid response workers – working with young people to try and prevent the need for residential accommodation.

Trish has a proven track record of managing homes that maintain and exceed National Minimum Standards.

Trish has overall responsibility for the day to day management of the home.

Lesley Bignell joined Focus in 2011 to establish our newest home in Luton. Lesley has worked with Looked After Young People for over 17 years and holds NVQ 4 in Caring for Children and Young People together with NVQ 5 in Management.
 
Lesley has a background of working within and managing residential resources within the private and local authority sectors.
